Harford County lies northeast of Baltimore, between the Susquehanna River and the Gunpowder River. Bel Air is the county seat, and Aberdeen Proving Ground occupies much of the county's bay shoreline.
I-95 and Route 1 cross the county, and MARC Penn Line trains stop at Edgewood and Aberdeen. Havre de Grace sits at the mouth of the Susquehanna, while northern Harford County remains largely rural, with homes on larger lots.
